Proof of English Eligibility as part of the application procedure
Access to English schooling is governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec which stipulate that all students who attend government-subsidized English schools in Quebec require an English eligibility certificate. For more information on the criteria for English eligibility, please see the MEQ (Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec) website.
- For students applying to the English section in Kindergarten, a copy of the Certificate of Eligibility for English Instruction from one Parent or sibling is needed.
- For students applying to the English sector for entry into Grade 1 to 6, a copy of the Certificate of Eligibility for English Instruction is needed.
