The Arts
We encourage our students to express themselves and standup for convictions in many ways.The arts is one such forum.
The visual arts program focuses on new ways for students to express themselves artistically.Students have made paper sculptures with LED lights, clay tiles with cuneiform writing, acrylic paintings using advanced glazing techniques, embroidery and more. Photography and cinematography are popular as students are eager to be original content creators. Using the Green Room, the students have produced movies, podcasts and wonderful multimedia creations.
The Dramatic Arts program offers interested students an opportunity to be a part of a live theater experience. Whether behind-the scenes, in the spotlight, designing costumes or running the lights and sound, students develop and hone their skills through ongoing workshops in acting, improvisation and original creation. Students gain self confidence and learn to communicate more effectively. This program supports student’s creative growth while providing an exceptional opportunity to showcase their talents on a professional stage.
Our Secondary II music program is multifaceted.It explores the history of music, different music genres from around the world and their influences, rhythm, instrumentation and the creation and production of digital music. The program also includes an after school choir and a school band.
In Secondary IV and V students can pursue a music, visual arts or arts and drama track, depending on their area of interest.
