Admissions Process

Applying to Talmud Torah
Kindergarten

STEP 1: Online application & documentation

Complete your online application via our Admissions Portal, choosing either the “English Section” or “Section Française.”

Required Documents:

If the child is born in Canada:
- Birth Certificate
- Copy of the Certificate of Eligibility for English Instruction (for students applying to the English section only)

If the child is born outside Canada:
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Canadian citizenship (permanent resident certificate or card)
- If not permanent residents: Immigration documents for parents and child (e.g., work permits, student visas)
- Proof of address (e.g., utility bill)

An Application fee of $50 is required to complete the process.

All applicants must provide a Confidential Report to their daycare. The daycare administration is asked to complete the report and send it directly to admissions@utt.qc.ca with the child’s full name in the subject line.

STEP 2: Interview scheduling
If your application is for the upcoming calendar year, the Admissions Director will contact you to schedule an interview. At least one parent must attend the interview, though both are welcome.

STEP 3: Admissions decision
The Admissions Committee will review your child’s application based on our criteria. You will receive an email with the admissions decision.

Important Dates
- Open House: From Wednesday, November 6 to Friday, November 8, 2024, in the morning. The date for the following year will be confirmed at a later time. Stay tuned for more details!

Grade 1 to 6

STEP 2: Scheduling Interviews and Admission Exams
If your application is for the upcoming calendar year, the Admissions Director will contact you to schedule an interview and entrance exams. The applicant will be tested in French, Mathematics, and Hebrew on the same day as the interview.

STEP 3: Admissions decision
The Admissions Committee will review your child’s application based on our Admissions criteria. You will receive an email with the admissions decision.

Talmud Torah Tuition Fees & Financial Aid

Tuition fees for the 2024-2025 academic year are as follows:
- For Kindergarten: $11,235
- For Elementary (Grades 1 to 6): $13,145


Additional Fees Per Student

- Home and School Association fee: $25
- Security and technology fee: $300
- Fundraising deposit: $450 reimbursed to parents, upon request, after fundraising for an equivalent amount

Additional Fees Per Family

- Building fund: $1,500 payable ($375/year for the first four years)

Tuition Assistance Programs:

At Azrieli Schools Talmud Torah | Herzliah we are committed to providing access to a high-quality Jewish education to as many community members as possible. We allocate significant funds to tuition assistance each year and offer the Federation CJA Generations Fund CAPS Program and the JCAP Program

CAPS
- Deadline: Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at noon.

JCAP
- Registration opens: Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
- Deadline: Wednesday, April 30, 2025, via the JCAP platform.

Applying to Herzliah
Secondary I

Herzliah Tuition Fees & Financial Aid

The tuition fees for the 2024-2025 academic year (Secondary 1 to 5) are $15,240.

Additional Fees Per Student
- Home and School Association fee: $25

- Fundraising deposit: $450 reimbursed to parents, upon request, after fundraising for an equivalent amount

Additional Fees Per Family
- Building fund: $3,000 per family (this is a one-time assessment payable over 5 years – $600/year)

At Herzliah, we are deeply committed to ensuring that quality Jewish education is within reach for all members of our community. We are pleased to assist families in accessing financial aid programs designed to provide meaningful support.
