Message from the Director of Development

I have had the good fortune of being a proud member of the Talmud Torah | Herzliah family for over four decades. This community nurtured me as a student, welcomed me as a parent and continues to inspire me as an adult. My connection to this community has always been my impetus for me to take on leadership roles. It was this commitment that my three children witnessed and it is this model that they emulate to this day. From alumna to Mom, from committee member to President, each step of the journey solidified my love of and commitment to the Talmud Torah | Herzliah family. My journey has come full circle as I now take on the professional role of Director of Development.

Throughout my journey, I have been consistently inspired by the dedication and commitment of the administrative team, the passion of the educators and the creativity and enthusiasm of our students. Most of all, I am awed by our incredibly generous donors, whose gifts transform lives every day. It is they who enable quality innovative programming and enriching Jewish experiential opportunities. It is they who support tuition assistance and fund extra-curricular activities. It is they who were instrumental in helping build the new Herzliah. Our donors allow us to dream the dreams and ensure that we realize them.

It is truly an honour for me to be able to partner with all of you in continuing to build and strengthen this unique and special school system.

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

Annual Campaign

Our Educating the Leaders of Tomorrow campaign is an annual campaign. Donations from this campaign can be designated to several different areas. Some of these areas include: educational excellence; Jewish experiential learning; tuition assistance; and student services. No matter where these funds are designated, the impact is on the current students of the current year.

Angel Campaign

Our Angel fund has been created within the framework of Tikkun Olam. It supports students in areas beyond tuition. Whether by providing a laptop, a new school uniform, funds to take part in a co-curricular event, it offers those who need it, the “extras” that can so easily underscore our differences instead of strengthening our commonalities.

Tribute Cards

Tribute cards are a heartfelt way to honor and celebrate life’s special moments while supporting our school. Whether you’re sending Mazal Tov wishes, offering condolences, marking a special occasion, or extending holiday greetings, a tribute card is a meaningful gesture that makes an impact.

Grants

Designated giving through grants allows donors to make a direct impact on specific programs and initiatives that matter most to them. Whether it’s supporting educational innovation, arts, sports, environmental projects, or technology, these targeted gifts ensure that your contribution goes exactly where you want it to make a difference.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsoring a School event is a tremendous opportunity to support school initiatives. Sponsorship gifts can be one time gifts which will support the event one time or annual gifts which will support multiple years of the event.

Life and Legacy Endowment Program

We have partnered with the Harold Greenspoon Life and Legacy program, in collaboration with the Jewish Community Foundation, to build endowments that will help sustain and strengthen our school in the years to come. A legacy gift is a promise for a better future for our children. A legacy gift says I am committed to a vibrant future for our children and our community.

Scholarships

At Herzliah, we are committed to making a quality Jewish education accessible to all families, regardless of their financial circumstances. We offer a range of scholarships designed to support both need-based and merit-based applicants, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive in our community.

Capital Campaign

Our Growing Together: Strengthening our Community for Generations campaign is a capital building campaign for our new state-of-the-art- Talmud Torah. This school is much more than simply a beautiful building. Its strategic location positions it as a key part of the existing Jewish Community Campus.
