Judaic Studies & Hebrew Program
Our Judaic studies program is one of the foundational pillars of our school. We instill in our students a love for Israel, the values of the written and oral Torah, Jewish history, literature, and heritage, as well as the Hebrew language. Our Judaic studies program reflects our diverse student body. Our classes highlight the unique, and different traditions that our students bring with them from their homes. By learning about different traditions, our students see the beauty of the rich mosaic of our community. Through our rituals and traditions, debates and discussions, presentations and lectures, prayers, and reflections, students are challenged to define and refine their Jewish identity and to internalize Jewish values that will stay with them throughout their lives.
Our Hebrew program is carefully designed to connect students to their Jewish identity through language. Focusing on conversational Hebrew as well as reading and writing skills, students develop a comprehensive mastery of the language. Through immersive linguistic experiences, they deepen their understanding of Jewish traditions, culture, and history, while strengthening their bond with Israel and the global Jewish community.
