Welcoming Our Youngest Students
The mission of Talmud Torah | Herzliah is to inspire academic excellence and prepare our students to become leaders firmly rooted in Jewish values, traditions, and a connection to Israel. We embrace diversity and strive to create a warm and respectful environment where our students feel valued, supported, and empowered to make positive contributions to our community, Quebec, Canada, and the world at large. The vision of Talmud Torah | Herzliah is to nurture today’s young minds into tomorrow’s leaders, fostering creativity and innovation. Our proud graduates will be committed to contributing to the development of both the Jewish community and society as a whole.
LITERACY
Learning literacy in French, English, and Hebrew is a top priority in our kindergarten classrooms. Students develop letter and sound recognition as well as phonemic fluency through a variety of reading, writing, and rhyming activities. Their progress is assessed three times a year to ensure they meet the established goals. A support program is available to address the specific needs of each child.
ART AND MOVEMENT
Our students explore a variety of visual arts – clay, painting, drawing, collage, and more. These creative projects encourage them to express their individuality while developing their understanding of the visual world. Additionally, they are introduced to theater, music, and violin using the Suzuki method, taught by qualified professionals. Alongside artistic activities, they participate in weekly dance and yoga sessions, promoting their physical development and artistic expression.
