English Language Program
At Talmud Torah, our English program focuses on developing strong literacy skills in reading, writing, and oral communication. Through an engaging curriculum, students are encouraged to think critically and express themselves clearly and creatively. Starting with a strong emphasis on phonemic awareness and foundational phonics skills our students learn to become fluent readers. As their reading skills develop, they are guided to question assumptions, evaluate evidence, and draw their own conclusions. This approach not only enhances their ability to process information but also equips them with the analytical skills necessary to think critically across subjects and in real-world situations. Moreover, through group discussions, literary projects, and collaborative activities, students cultivate strong cooperative and teamwork abilities.
